Caring for your Diapers
|
| |
| Although cloth diapering is easy and fun, it is important to know how to care for them.

|
First you need to make sure you are using a dye/fragrance free natural soap. Here's a link to a great site with a chart rating different detergents in regards to using them with cloth diapers http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-chart.html . Also only use 1/4-1/3 amount of detergent per wash. Using too much detergent can cause build up on the diapers which causes repelling (when liquids will not soak into the diaper and the diapers leak). There are lots of websites with washing directions and soap recommendations so feel free to explore!

Do not dry your diapers in the dryer, hang to dry. Placing your diapers in the dryer will breakdown the waterproof layer and other components like the elastic. Hanging to dry will save you money and ensure that your diapers last for this child and the next.

| Other than that you are good to go. Happy diapering everyone!
